Recovery-focused protection for business data, cloud services and critical systems.

Recovery-focused protection for business data, cloud services and critical systems. SmartTECH Solutions combines practical engineering, accountable project delivery and business-focused support for organizations across Southwest Florida and remote teams nationwide.

Technology service designed around business outcomes

Technology should make daily operations more dependable, secure and efficient. We begin by understanding your users, locations, systems, business dependencies and tolerance for disruption. Recommendations are prioritized by operational impact, risk, lifecycle and total cost—not by selling unnecessary complexity.

Common challenges we solve

Backups that run but have never been restored

We identify root causes, dependencies and the most practical corrective path before changes are made.

Critical cloud data excluded from protection

We identify root causes, dependencies and the most practical corrective path before changes are made.

No recovery priorities or business ownership

We identify root causes, dependencies and the most practical corrective path before changes are made.

Single points of failure in storage, power or connectivity

We identify root causes, dependencies and the most practical corrective path before changes are made.

Backup & Disaster Recovery FAQs

Is cloud storage automatically backed up?

Not necessarily. Synchronization and native retention are not the same as independent backup. Each platform and data type should be evaluated.

What is the 3-2-1 backup approach?

It generally means maintaining three copies of data, on two different media, with one copy off-site or isolated. Modern strategies may add immutability and offline protection.

How often should restores be tested?

Testing frequency should match business risk and change rate. Critical systems need more frequent and documented recovery validation.

What are RTO and RPO?

Recovery Time Objective is how quickly a service should return. Recovery Point Objective is how much recent data loss is acceptable.

Can backups stop ransomware?

Backups do not prevent infection, but protected and tested backups can greatly improve recovery and reduce leverage.

Do you back up Microsoft 365?

We can design or manage third-party backup for supported Microsoft 365 data based on licensing and retention requirements.

Can you create a disaster recovery plan?

Yes. We document priorities, dependencies, contacts, recovery steps, alternative procedures and testing responsibilities.

What if our office loses power or internet?

Continuity planning can include UPS capacity, alternate connectivity, cloud access, remote work and prioritized shutdown or recovery procedures.

How much backup storage do we need?

It depends on data volume, change rate, retention, versions, compression and growth.

How do we get started?

Identify critical systems and data, current backup tools, retention needs and acceptable downtime, then schedule an assessment.
